Hit or Myth?

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Psychic wisdom (or superstition)
Recommends we wear red pants
To change our luck and get a win
Against advice of ignoramus and sycophants

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Green is the chosen colour of the fairies
Bad luck to upset our little friends
The colour of continued life and resurrection*
Prescribe green when our season ends

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Yellow for cowardice, betrayal and death
But the colour of gold and the sun
Our home kit seems a mixed bag
Is that why we haven’t won?

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Will red underwear bring a red letter day
Or just scarlet polyester thongs
Maybe it’s worth giving it a go
To gain those points for which we long

Thurrock lost last week in yellow and green. But if red doesn’t work (ask Rotherham) what next? Saints wear red so it should be a good game tomorrow.
*Wishing green to Wrexham FC
