Such skill you can’t ignore
Damage limitation kept it down to two
It could have been much more

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 The manager wasn’t that impressed
By Joey Cole’s delight
After all t’was he, the chosen one
Who put this young man right

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Early editions of the Sundays
Gave Joey nine out of ten
But after Jose had, had his say
The press boys changed their game

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Later editions of hypercritical red tops
Took the managers side
Three or four out of ten now
As Joey’s performance took a dive

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Is Mourinho that powerfull
To manipulate the press
Or are those hacks who ignore the facts just hypercrites?
The answer’s sadly yes!

Chelsea v B’ham yesterday at the Bridge, it could and should have been double figures!

Joey Cole started to showboat a little bit, so what? The game as a contest was long over and Hernan Crespo was unlucky not to score six!

The early editions of the Sunday papers prior to Match of the Day gave Joey boy 8 or 9/10. Mourinho then goes on the telly to chastize Cole, which is his right as he is paid to get results and picks the team, then guess what? All the later editions of the same papers give Joey Cole 4 or 5/10 for his performance!

Come on you two faced press boys, are you not capable of thinking and writing for yourselves? Mourinho is giving you all enough fodder for your columnes, d’yer want him to write them for you as well?

Hypercritical hacks or what, you tell me?
