A land for those frm across the seas
Songs and words and new togues bold
Grace our town with vibrant soul

The School of Science and The Liverpool Way

Greed and power their favourite trade
The blood of freedom races through
The lessons learned today ring true

But just say no and don’t give in
This yellow submarine this melting pot
This Scotland Road this Albert Dock

There’s Mersey Poets there’s a dollop of Cream
And down at the Cavern dreamers dream

There’s Steven Gerrard with his Mersey Feet
There’s Mersey Words and Mersey Pride
We’re rich with life on Merseyside

Not once have flown from that high perch
The city’s safe within their keep
And all their children safely sleep

A Baptist poster once wanted to learn
The answer came and this it said
“Move St John to inside left!”

And no one here will walk alone
We’ve The Liverpool Philly and the JMU
The Royal Court and The Everyman too

Past Lord Street and the Vicky mon
Through the India Building on to Pier Head
The place is looking good but they haven’t finished yet

This kaleidoscopic city’s got the lot
Streets of Hope And Paradise found
Paddy’s wigwam and the Anglican, sound!

We’ve seen the worst, we’ve lived the best
We’ve been judged at times by an ignorant press

With our 3 Graces proud beside
5 Euro Cups, and a treble for Hou
And a few cups won by them in blue

And built the ships that sailed its seas
This home to us is boss and sound
God love our precious Lbpool town.
