Can’t stop planes crashing into buildings
Can’t stop children being used as political pawns
And bargaining chips…
Football can’t save lives when help arrives
Too late
Can’t bring back those lost
Can’t reason with those who won’t be
Reasoned with…
Football is just a game
Of two halves
But it can thrill the soul
And make life worth living for
For there is no cause
That makes somebody’s life
Worth dying (or killing) for.
