In the stands

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I’m sitting in the stands
My hands in my grandad’s hands
We’re waiting for the teams
To build or crush our dreams.
It’s raining.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 It’s half time in the stands
Grandad’s holding my cold hands
Inside have gone the teams
To hear the Gaffer’s dreams.
It’s still raining.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Game over, leaving stands
Clutched programme in my hands
Game a draw, no goal each team
See our town win was my dream.
I’m wet.
