Is Arsene A Purveyor Of The Noble Art?

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Did you see that? He raised his hands
He bobbed, weaved, then he ducked
I’m sure, that’s what Arsene Wenger did,
Did he once wear boxing gloves?

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Has your man missed his vocation?
As ‘The Ammers’ sucker punch broke his heart
Though subject to provocation
He was game for noble art

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Will a cuts man sit beside him now in place of Patsy Rice
Will the Emirates fans need,
To float like a butterfly, sting like a bee
To avoid being knocked out, in this seasons title fight?

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Come on Arsene, put up yer mits
Show us how you fight
What? That wasn’t you squaring up to Alan Pardew
In the East End, Sunday night?

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Sorry son, I’ve got it wrong,
Me brain box is all a funk
Like you I must had one too many to the head
That have left me, well….punch drunk!

Notes

When your man, Whirlwind Wenger as he used to be known, from his days in the ring, put his mits up, he looked to me like he knew how to use them!

But then with the discipline that the noble art teaches you, he declined to strike an opponent, who, it has to be said, had his guard down!

Very interesting this, are there cracks, at long last starting to appear, in the once ice cold persona of a bloke who used to thrive on this sort of adversity and controversy?

peace.

kev.
