I sat with all me mates
Discussing all last season
And next seasons fate
The press have tried to have a field day
In spoiling all our joy
With inuendo, hate and vitriol
On sacred team of boys
Does anybody like us?
Do we really care?
In 2005 we were champions
Its inscribed on trophy…..there!!!

As we sat in warm night air
Our tickets to the promisesd land
Would be puchased by all there
If the media don’t like us
In a democracy thats fair
But in 2005 we were champions
Its inscribed on trophy…..there

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 As talk turned back to childhood
To a local trainer of great fame
The lovely George had seen it all before
As he turned boys on to sacred game
Most of thems missed borstal and a life of crime
Because the lovely George encouraged them
And gave up precious time
He passed on before the seasons end
But left a passing line
He’d seen us win the title in 1955
He felt this year was our time
So George if you are looking down
From the training ground up there
In 2005 we were champions
Its inscribed on trophy….. there!!!
