It’s Left A Sour Taste!

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I’m not that sure if the stadiums the business
It should be, after all, it cost enough dough
There’s something I can’t still get to grips with
Why we fans have to pay for it, through the nose

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 They (sweet FA) know it’s part of out culture
A prized cup final ticket come May
So how come all those be suited vultures
Get seats, why real football fans get FA?

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 I know what you’re thinking, don’t go then
Don’t fork out such dosh for one game
Yeah, maybe that’s right, but it’s Wemberly
We might never get to play there again

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Three scores and more for a ticket
Programmes a tenner a pop
Us mug punters must be rolling in it
At the prices it costs us to watch

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 The match won’t go down as a classic
Sometimes that’s just how it goes
The cup ours, so right now we’re ecstatic
But you know whats perverse as I finish this verse
Is we’re getting ripped off and what make’s it worse?
Is….we know!

Notes

Yeah, so we’ve just won the FA cup, but who really won out here?

The greedy money-grabbing FA, the enbloc corporate ticket agency’s who rather than send un-sold seats backs to the clubs for real fans to purchase fair and square…left them very same match seats empty!

I saw loads of die hards fans from both clubs, all along Wembley Way, with signs saying “long standing season ticket holder couldn’t get a ticket, will pay a fair price to sit or stand anywhere”.

Over priced food and drinks, with tiolet facilities from another age that couldn’t handle the crowds, so back to the old Wembley tradition of fans queing up to urinate into plastic cups or against the wall!

Some things never change or do they?

What should have been a great day out was blighted by all the above, You can make out (like the sweet FA) that it didn’t happen, but it did and thousands like me saw it!

They even had the cheek to put up on the scoreboard, how many people were there, so we could see with our own eyes how many seats were empty, despite the FA saying it was sell out, it was, but not in the way that they mean!

How long can it take to serve three soft drinks when your at the front of the queue? At Wemberly, an absolute eternity!

peace

kev.
