It’s Pretty Pleasing To The Eye, But So What?

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Oh what beautiful movement and passing
Is on show at La Rouge Emirates
Sublime to the eye, leaves one gasping
As young Gooners perform pirouettes.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Astounding, quite simply the business
He reminds me of Brady, young Cesc
Except for his finishing, that is
Cos Chippy and co, put those close games to bed.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Oh long gone heady nights of the North Bank
Pray come back down the Holloway Road
When Charlie George and the like had Bertie Mee to thank
For a game, that brought fans to each match in their droves.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Tis pleasing to see, one sweet pass, two or three
It’s surely what coach Arsene Wenger expects
But bags of possesion, swift passing, and I know this sounds daft
Never once, won a side a championship yet.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 I love watching teams with a precise passing game
Play clever defence splitting balls
But in truth, most top sides need, a striker with Henry as his name
To bang them in twenty odd goals!

It’s really looking good over at The Arsenal, but will that lovely flowing game they play, win them anything, other than mere plaudits from the purists?
