It’s Time Our Press Got Behind The Team!

Concerning them press boys of late
When yer flying they love you to bits
When yer slightly off kilter it’s all venom and hate

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 The boys have taken one a hell of a beating
By redtops and bourgeoisie rags
Are they provoking unrest in our countries best
It wouldn’ be the first time that they had

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 The problem as I see it’s the manager
That’s causing this tabloid malaise
No matter how much they try
To pull the wool over Sven’s eye’s
He just will not rise to the bait!

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 The game was over last weekend three points were won
They tried to make Sven lose his cool
But the way he kept saying “But we’ve won our first game”
To all questions asked by the media
It’s clear that he’s nobodies fool!

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 It continued again Monday night on the radio
Frank Lampard was grilled just the same
As Frank himself said before cutting them dead
” We’re all looking forward towards our next game”!

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 So come on you press boys get behind the squad
Be positive towards the team and it’s boss
Anyone would think from the venomous ink at the weekend
That last Saturday England had lost!

I can see a press ban coming over the horizon from Sven if this carries on!

Why don’t they leave the bloke and the team alone, they’ve been using him for target practise for ages, you think they would have had tired of it by now?

What is it with them hacks?

Maybe they’re the reason we couldn’t get a half decent manger?

Always it would seem the ploy is to undermine the manager and the team?
