Notes

On me way to the game yesterday I was handed a flyer telling me that another under achieving overpaid England idol has decided to write a no holds barred book on his career to date and we can all turn up at so and so for the signings at about a score a pop! Yeah right!

Perhaps, just perhaps because our boys were so busy negotiating book deals during the World Cup just gone, that the paramount reason for being there, to have the honour of playing for ones country got somehow forgotten about during the scramble for massive book advances?

We all saw with our own tweeties what went on in Germany, do we really need to be reminded of it by all this underhand back stabbing about a bloke who no longer runs the team?

How does all this snidely ghost written rubbish after the event effect the future relationship with the new management team and did it have a big say in the final choice of the new England skipper. Think about it?

Someone here on this site not too long ago suggested that biog books by footballers should be banned by the clubs / our own FA till that pro’s career is over. After seeing the headers in a few redtops, flyers, and such like over the weekend that seems to me to be a good idea.

Because when all’s said and done how much dough can one bloke and his agent possibly need to get through such a very fortunate way of earning one’s living?

Rant over!

peace

kev.
