I’ve got the Managerial Blues

Merriman’s management skills
likened to those of
Town’s Maurice Malpas:
seven successive defeats in
local Sunday League
tells its own story.
Crushing losses in league and cup;
the latest a 7-1 mauling;
forty one goals conceded
by porous defence;
a measly eight scored
and best player tapped
up by local rivals.
They call me ‘Juande’,
Juande I might win.
But you’ve seen what
happened to him;
already the knives are
being sharpened – it
could get bloody.
Yet Town have enjoyed
back to back wins;
maybe Maurice is working
his magic at last.
There is hope, then,
there is hope.
