J’taime, J’taime St Etienne!

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 A fella runs along the platform
To catch a fast departing train
A lone brunette is wailing at the barrier
Will she see him again?

He’s made it just in time
He turns to wave at the crying girl
That he’s left behind

As the fella sits slowly down
He notices the looks he gets
From people gathered around!

Stands up to show a West Ham shirt

She sees me off to every away game
Waving her hankie”

After all we’re only playing Ipswich
I’ll be back tonight by seven-o-clock!”

She’s French so that explains
Why she’s so dramatic
And will not come to games”
