Just in case

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 You may think I’m joking,
You may think it droll,
But thirty years smoking
Have taken their toll.
Too long in the boozers,
I can’t run for buses,
The other bus-users
Don’t know what the fuss is
When, sprinting quite suddenly,
While gasping for breath,
I’m paralysed woodenly
And looking near death.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 But Shels have a crisis,
The players have all gone,
The sweet goddess Isis
Has smirked and moved on.
And that is the reason,
As we search for recruits,
At the start of the season
I’m bringing my boots.

Notes

Incidentally, I’m four years off the fags now (and still incredibly unfit)
