Justice for Anthony Walker

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Tomorrow
I dont care if we win or lose
Watching my beloved Liverpool
From my place in the kop
For football is not the most important
Thing in life
Life itself is more important
More precious
And love will always be more powerful
Than the hatred that breeds
In cowards who hate
For those who with tolerance
Love with no strings attached
Unite this city whose shame hangs heavy…

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Christ when will this world have its fill of blood?

Notes

posted by a friend of Anthony’s family on Liverpool websites:

“As you are aware Anthony Walker a young black man was murdered in Huyton in the early hours of Saturday morning. The police regard this as a racially-motivated attack.

There will be a Justice for Anthony Walker Vigil to be held at 5.30pm at St George’s Hall Steps on Tuesday 2nd August. This vigil has been organised by
Unite Against Fascism and we urge as wide and broad support of it as possible. In attendance and speaking will be local trade unionists, politicians, faith groups, anti-racist campaigners and community leaders. The vigil is an opportunity to show our condemnation of this despicable racist murder and our commitment to a multicultural Merseyside.

Please do all you can to attend and encourage others to do so.”

RIP ANTHONY YNWA
