Justice for Junichi

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 In the land of the Occidental
There is an Accidental
Tourist

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 He, would classify himself, as ‘Professiona Footbawer’
But not, alas,
The Purist

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 For Inamoto
Might only appear
In a minute

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Make his bow
From the prow
Of the subs bench

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 But even so
The signal’s slow –
Coach relents with a wrench

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Sceptics still wager
That the major
Reason for inclusion

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 Is fiscally decided
Opinions divided
And any support, is an optical illusion

Notes

initially inspired by Stuart Butler’s fascinating report from Hong Kong –
I had to look up Occidental to see what it meant.

Also meant as support for Japanese star Junichi Inamoto,
who seems to be getting a rough deal, selection wise

Arsenal, Fulham and now West Brom :
yet how many first team games has he been selected for?

No disrespect intended – I was trying to be ‘pc’ –
phonetically correct!
