1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I brought her the length of the country,
From Cork up to sweet Donegal,
And I showed her the sights
On those cold Friday nights,
As we travelled to watch the football.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 We sampled the beauty of Terryland,
Where the magic of nature abounds,
And we breathed in the smells
That surrounded St Mels,
And we kissed in the Carlisle Grounds.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Enchanted she was by St. Coleman’s,
And the Brandywell caused her to shiver,
And she loved Tolka Park
When it lit up the dark
And the balls ended up in the river.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 But now she has left me forever
For a man with a middle-aged daughter,
And it kills me inside,
Not through masculine pride,
But because he’s a Rovers’ supporter.
