Kick It Out

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Racial equality has been part of my thought
Since I was a kid in the park
I always believed that it mattered nought,
Whether one’s skin was bright pink or dark

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 So what a sensation, when I sat yesterday
In the West Stand at old Highbury
And looked to the North, at the show on display
As far as the eye could see

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 The red and white banners that loudly proclaim
That our smart fans, far from obtuse
Share my conviction; we must end this shame
This chanting of racial abuse

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Kick it out! Kick it out!
That should be the new shout
Let loyalty flourish with pride
Support your own team, but don’t be a lout
Be part of a great winning side

Notes

As warm a feeling as watching ‘us’ win
