KICK IT OUT RAP O5 Re-Mix

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 there has to be a space – we still need a place
for every single member of the whole human race
and don’t let them fool you the problem’s gone away
underneath the suface it’s lingering today
at all-seater stadiums the atmosphere is great
but lower down and on the streets still feel the hate
it starts in the playground it starts as a lark
it end up on the journey home it winds up in the park
it’s out there on the playing field in the rain and thunder
sometimes you hear it but you’re totally outnumbered
Kick it out – be a beacon be a light
speak out – let your football burn bright
kick it out – rap the culprits in the eye
kick it out – time for racism to die
kick it out

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 you can sing it you can wing it – you can act it out in class
you can trap it you can rap it – before the feelings pass
i said no-one has the right to abuse any other
no one has the right- be they stranger or brother
no one has the right to bully or to yell
no one should be frightened to be the one to tell
but twenty years ago now if your face was black
if you were stood upon a pitch they’d be on your back
but take a look around you from Africa today
great players everywhere we love to see them play
this world is changing you feel it coming through
and maybe lifes’ a lottery but football dreams come true
and suddenly i see Asians tomorrow
one or two coming through – the rest will surely follow
kick it out – be a poem be a cry
kick it out – time for racism to die
kick it out
