Kilmarnock Blues

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Way back, a hundred years ago,
When they let loose a trail of woe,
Kilmarnock were a dirty side.
[That cannot ever be denied.]
They spat, they gouged, they punched, they fouled,
And when they were ticked off, they scowled.
Opponents often were averse
To tackling, lest they came off worse.
Their favourite trick, I can reveal,
Was kicking people on the heel.
A well-aimed poke from steel-tipped boots
Was normal from these loutish brutes.
And those thus kicked were brought at once
To hospital by ambulance,
Where they quickly learned that they
Could say adieu to football play.
So prevalent, this violent phase,
They even came up with a phrase.
A surgeon from the town of Hendon
Coined the phrase, “A Killie’s Tendon.”
