King Eric the Red

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Ooh aah Cantona, the Man United football star,
That arrogant stance,
That surly glance,
That Kung Fu ‘dance’,
Oh how we love the man from France.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Ooh aah Cantona, the Man United football star,
That touch on the ball,
That collar stood tall,
That gutterall call,
Oh how we love the man from Gaul.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Ooh aah Cantona, the Man United football star,
That player of the year with the P.F.A.
Those solitary strikes in the games away,
That he’s the catalyst of this team’s great play,
Oh how we love the man from Marseille.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Ooh aah Cantona, the Man United football star,
To other players, the balls he feeds,
For the Reds, this man bleeds,
He has met all this team’s needs,
Oh how we’re glad, we ‘stole’ him from Leeds.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Ooh aah Cantona, the Man United football star,
That complete lack of bling,
That seagull-trawler poetic thing,
That the fans ‘still’ love to sing,
ooh aah Cantona to our Football King.
