King of the Fishes – Goodbye Henrik

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 King of the Fishes always knew
Where the net was, that was true.
All the little fishes bowed,
Ending up subdued and cowed.
Like a salmon, he could leap,
Fooling tadpoles in his sleep.
Up the channels he would steal,
Slippy as a conger eel,
Never failing to impress
With the scale of his success.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 But now he’s gone, he took the bait,
Bit before it was too late,
Though he’s rather old to make
The leap from pond to giant lake.
I thought he was extremely fond
Of being King in that small pond.
