Labour of love.

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I leave home for work with a smile on my face
To do a job so close to my heart
Meeting football fans from all over the world
At my beloved St James’s Park.
MY club in the heart of MY city
Standing so proud on the hill
I have loved the place since I was a boy
And I know that I always will.
I meet fans from far away places
Too many countries to name
The language barrier’s no problem
We all speak the beautiful game.
We are all part of football’s great family
No matter which team we support
Whether it’s City, Town, or the Rovers
We are all United by love of our sport
And I will never think about leaving
Or hand in a transfer request
My job I take so much pride in
And for me It’s one of the best.

Notes

I am a stadium tour guide at St James’ Park home of Newcastle United, and as Mae West said ‘ Come up and see me sometime’
