Let Anfield Remember

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Let Anfield remember the days that bred
Such faithful sons of Spion
When Dalglish wore the shirt of red
With a Liver Bird to rest his heart on
When the Kop with standards of Red unfurled
Walked on to Rome and Glory
And the holy red and the blessed green
Were set in the crown of Anfield
On the Mersey’s banks we sang and swayed
By love and faith entwining
We were joined by our Fathers from long ago days
And Shankly’s ghost there shining
And the memories e’re in dreams return
And we see those days long over
And as we race through the waves of time
Each step will take us homeward
So let Anfield remember the days that bred
Such faithful sons of Spion
When Dalglish wore the shirt of red
With a Liver Bird to rest his heart on
When the Kop with standards of Red unfurled
Walked on to Rome and Glory
And the holy red and the blessed green
Were set in the crown of Anfield.
