Let Me Be – The Fantasy

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Pick a football manager
Any football manager
And I could do a better job
All you need is to love the game
A tracksuit, ‘phone and big gob

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 It’s the easiest job there is
Yet they make it look so hard
They only work two days a week
I’d give the clothes off my back for that job
Surely that would be a winning streak?

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 They just pick sixteen players
And tell them they must win
If they lose, they can blame the ref
Or the pitch, or injury list
Or whatever excuses are left

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 So I entered my fantasy team online
To prove how easy success really is
After all, each fan has the gift
I logged on for my monthly report
To find I was seventy nine thousand and fifth

Notes

And that’s with £55million to spend and every player in the Premiership to choose from!
