Life in League One

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Our new manager’s first game in charge
and he started off with a loss
the players huffed and puffed
but struggled to shoot, tackle, or cross.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 I’ve watched a lot of our teams over the years
but this one could be the worst of the lot
so the manager has a tough job ahead
if this is all that he’s got.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 I’ve seen better players over the local park
and they play after sinking loads of beer
but this team would turn a teetotaller to drink
as they give us nothing to sing about or cheer.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 The attendances are getting lower and lower
but the players just don’t seem to care
the faithful fans will keep on turning up
but the rest I’m afraid don’t want to be there.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 So good luck to you Mark Robins
let’s hope you can turn things around
but if we’re still at the bottom at Christmas
the home games will be played at a near empty ground !

Notes

I’m not enjoying life in League One at all as we are struggling to even get our first win of the season.

Some of the Football is like the stuff you see played between lads who fancy a kick about after a session in the boozer.

What is going on at the club none of us really know but the players are lacking confidence and they have got no bottle at all except one or two.

We play Arsenal this week in the League Cup and if we get a hammering which could happen the fragility of these players could destroy them completely.

Let’s hope Arsene Wenger takes pity on us but as they want to win a trophy this season I can’t see that happening !
