Limited Resources

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 David Moyes has proved adept, no-one could say that he’s inept,
He sure knows how to make the most of limited resources.
Came in seventh this Campaign, fourth place once or twice,
His diet’s bread ‘n’ butter, no seasoning or spice,
No fancy piquant sauces.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 He gets by on a shoestring, cooks broth from rusty nails,
Wheels and deals on the market, makes canny buys and sales.
The ginger Scot for Gaffer, you couldn’t do much better,
You might do a lot worse – give him a sow’s ear,
And he’ll make a silken purse.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 What it all boils down to is…horses for courses,
And Davy is the right nag if you’ve limited resources.
Say it loud, yell it proud – limited resources!
Shout it from the rooftops – limited resources!
Bet he’d have some lessons for our ill-equipped Armed Forces.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 But that’s another story, we won’t go into that.
No, let’s just give the fella a big pat on the back!

Notes

Nil Satis Nisi Optimum, I know! Still, I am quite satis-fied with finishing seventh after having flirted with relegation last autumn.
