Loneliest Man in The World

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 He gave it his all
Ideas, enthusiasm, energy
Long hours, effort
But he was hitting up against a brick wall
Eyewash ad nauseum, lethargy
Long odds, apathy

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 He gave them everything
The spoilt good-for-nothings
Playing along, playing for time
They say it’s a contact sport
There was no communication here
The players left him with nowhere to go
He went there with dignity
Leaving with a financial pay-off
You could say loser takes all
But he only cared about the football

Notes

If a picture paints a thousand words then Peter Grants face wrote a book on Monday night following defeat by QPR. Beaten and bewildered, the job he wanted so much became an unforgiving torture and he left Norwich City ‘by mutual consent’ on Tuesday.

Hurrah! footnote: just heard that Neil Warnock ‘the pantomime villain’ is spoken for! He’s gone to Palace so at least that’s one dreaded scenario that won’t come to fruition – this time anyway…
