when Day o’ Valentine is here,
we give hearts an’ flowers
t’ those held most dear..
ye ken that I would too,
were it nae for petal hue
I’d send bouquet o’ roses,
but they dinna come in blue…

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Perhaps I should delay
’til twilight time o’ day,
as heavenly shades o’ night descend
an’ violins sweetly play..
then by glow o’ silver moon
romantically croon,
but would sound like tomcat yowlin’,
’cause I canna sing in tune…

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 They tell me love is blind,
conquers all, wins heart an’ mind,
also makes th’ world go round,
yet strange t’ say I find
but one thing left t’ do..
profess devotion true
while toastin’ most beloved
wi’ a wee dram or two…

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 I’ll raise whisky glass aloft
before contents are quaffed,
think only o’ th’ bonnie one,
then whisper low an’ soft..
“From days o’ Aul’ Lang Syne
’til I succumb t’ Father Time,
Raith Rovers ye will always be
m’ love an’ Valentine…”
