Loyalty in Football

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 the season started with no goals
and something surely took their souls
for after that it just got worse
they didn’t seem to moan or curse
nor did they even seem to care
and ‘each decision was unfair’
they stood and hung their heads in shame
but kept the money and fame
and when the season’s finally done
and we’re back in Division 1
they’ll go onto another side
forgetting loyalty and pride
and how they got us in this mess
for they can always leave the stress
but when we come back to the Prem
we’ll play their team and look at them
and see the player we sang for
hang down his head in shame once more

Notes

It’s felt like this all season at Birmingham..I only hope the players we have been loyal to, will be loyal to us at the end of it.
