Lucky O-Mens and O-Womens

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 i’m sure to you this makes no sense
but two fat crows upon my fence
as clear as glass upon the sill
is but a sign we’ll win two-nil
and if my mobile thrice doth click
it means a Didier hat-trick

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 two shoes and socks outside the door
reflects a bitter two-all draw
a pigeon pooing on my nose
suggests we’ll win by loads and loads
a flock of starlings flying by
ensures we’ll bang in four or five

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 I know this isn’t poetry
but visions often come to me
they come like clouds in many forms
predicting how we will perform
they shape themselves in tea and more
foretelling every single score

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 so you can kiss your lucky toast
and dance around your street lamp-post
or you may laugh and jeer for sure
but I don’t have to guess the score
for i’m not superstitious but
i’ll think one-one – if you tut- tut

Notes
