Mad as a Hatter

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Luton floundering at the bottom,
forced to sell players to
balance the books.
Luton losing around four
million a year – price of a
journeyman Premiership midfielder,
top star’s annual wages.
Authorities’ silence is
football’s shame.
Lifeboy needed urgently,
this club is going under.
And now the manager
and head coach announce
they’re leaving Luton next month,
no doubt baffled, bemused and bewildered
by series of disastrous events.
So football’s family racing
to the rescue?
No.
Liverpool’s refusal to donate
their share of gate receipts
leaves Luton fans mad as hatters.
Another sure sign of
the top clubs’ greed.

Notes

I have genuinely feared for the future of my club, Swindon Town & now I see another one perilously close to going out of existence. How can this happen when the game is awash with cash? Something is seriously not right. Time for a massive re-think.
