Man City 2-0 Chelsea

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I tried to be open-minded
I wished to be patriotic
I occasioned a different sport
But to me it was so chaotic

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 The shape was all wrong
Starting with the ball
And though the rules were confusing
Out boomed the referee’s every call

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 And as for the lexicon?!
Scrum, heave, conversion
And offsides that surely never were
Even with the modern footy version?

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 As you might have gathered
I’m trying to avoid our reverse
I thought by switching codes
I could ignore the adverse

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 But the stats say it all
A two nil defeat
Our tails between our legs
We beat a hasty retreat

Notes

The 6 Nations Rugger match?
Scotland 12-8 Ireland

Not a technically great game, but certainly entertaining, right to the death, when Ireland got to within inches of a winning try.

Whereas Chelsea were never at the races, even Mr Dependable Frank Lampard, had a penalty well saved by Joe Hart at 0-0.
