Manager’s half-time talk

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I get frustrated when you can’t break them down,
score an early goal.
Where’s their history?
Nationwide upstarts.
Rubbish, giving you the run around
for all to see.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 You need to look at the way you play,
stop the schoolboy antics,
be acccountable.
Put them in their place.
Make them hurt.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 If the crowd jeers,
out of frustration,
at your inane display,
grit your teeth,
work to earn the thirty grand a week.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Cut out cards, unnecessary fouls,
do more up front.
Forward take chances in the final third,
put the ball in the net for once.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 It’s a simple game
not rocket science.
Concentrate.
Follow instructions.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Backs defend from the back.
Stop silly mistakes,
guard against set plays,
mark your man.

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 Midfield keep your shape for ninety minutes,
be consistent.
Tackle,
and maybe,
just maybe,
if you all do this,
I’ll keep my job.
