Mark Clattenburg’s Merseyside nightmare

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 The wry ref rails –
Why me? What did I do wrong?
He should ask himself what did he do right –
For he got it all horribly Pete Tong

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 For example, a two footed challenge
Is normally a matter of inches
But Kuyt’s concept –
Requires endless pulleys and winches!

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 And to pull a man down on top of you
Whether it be the last minute or no –
Requires a tug and a half :
Joleon Lescott denied two pens in a row

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 So now this Saturday at 3pm
Mark’s mam – the lovely Mrs Clattenburg *
Can serve him up his favourite brew
And a delicious slice of Battenburg

Notes

Mmmm – Battenburg – my favourite.
Perhaps, some recompense for being dropped by the Premier League refereeing panel?!?!

* so – a lot of the irate Everton fans were wrong, with their choice of invective.
However, they were absolutely right about every nonsense decision given.

Worst display of refereeing seen in the top flight for many, many years.

Still – I’ve been wanting to use that last rhyme ever since he made it to the top ranks! lol
