Me Dad Ain’t Bad But… He’s Banned!

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 There’s nowt like the action
Or the added attraction
Of a lovely day out at the match
It’s something that I could used to
On a Saturday stood there next to dad

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 He sure does his nut when we’re stuck in a rut
And we’re knocking on doors with no keys
As our forwards keep hitting the woodwork
And me dad will get down on his knees
It reminds of Moses in R.E coursework
When he begs”God let them score just once please”

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 The poor ref gets the blame from stale hotdogs to rain
When the pitch is as soft as a beach
That’s when me dad really loses it big time
With words that one dare not repeat

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 “He’s not here with me” I tell all the punters
Who look down on us two, with distain
Me dad just says “Who are you looking at Billy Bunter”?
Oops here come the stewards…. again!

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 We’re turfed out in the street, me dads looking meek
As the roar of the crowd inside mixes,
With the sound of the down pouring sleet
I think to meself its a good job we’re playing away
Or else we’ll get banned from our seats

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Me dad is one kind caring fellow
A seriously genuine bloke
But sometimes I’d wish he’d just mellow
When we follow our team on the road

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 We’re back on the train, it’s a deja vu day
As us fans all head back to “The Smoke”
We’ve nothing in common with the rest of the punters
Why would we? All down to me dad we missed most of the match
And got turfed out again, so what more can I say? It’s a joke!

Notes

peace.
