Me. I’d Leave Him On The Bench.

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 So who’s to start from the kick off
When the England team take on Estonia
Will it be Barry, Gerrard Or Lampard
Which one out of three gets the kiss off?

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Results are the thing
That can speak for themselves
Though as a Blue I find this hard to say

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Frank mate just lately, you’ve not really
Been knocking down any doors
Except our physio’s
So it’s you I think should be dropped for this game!

Notes

Really terrific debate on the Tim Lovejoy radio show on the Beeb last night. Who would you put in midfield in the England team if you were Steve McBarren?

Was the question asked, loads of Redmen called in with a very mixed reaction on Gerrard, Blueboys got on the blower saying the same things about Lampard.

Very strange response from both sets of fans, including quite a few of them saying that their man not really doing it for his club.

Well I can personally vouch that Frank ain’t been doing it over in West London, cos he ain’t even been blimmin well playing for us half the time!

The only consistent was that nearly everyone who called in to the programme agreed that Gareth Barry should play after two great performances alongside Gerrard in the last two England victories.

I’d go along with that, cos Lampard never really does it for me in an England shirt anyway.

Really cool radio football show, catch it, if you get a chance.

A real football fans programme.

I think it’s on five live about ten-o-clockish?
