Miller Time

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 St Patricks church a text relayed
Our first delay with Joe Delea
Nothing after that went wrong
It was Miller time the whole day long

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Two hours thirty, there at last
A bonus was Blaahland bypassed
The grub at Whitford House sublime
As well as some more Miller time.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 What could ruin this carefree day
The match, oh yeah, a vile display
Missed pen started our decline
Culminating in Killers crime

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Not fit to wear the shirt you see
Why can’t the players care like me?
Desire and passion aren’t a crime
Two cents delivered? more a dime

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 But who would local offies roam?
To fill the bus for journey home
Our best man Ken, we did assign
Two more boxes of Miller time.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Post match anger, sheer frustration
Didn’t ruin our closing celebration
Season finished off in style
Did I mention it was Miller time?

Notes

Our last game of the season was a superb away trip to Wexford, slight delay to start but still got there in plenty of time.
Lovely people down there, facilities are excellent too, a bar overlooking the pitch as well.
0-0 at HT, we missed a pen at the start of the 2nd half, then Cillian “Killer” Lordan scored a comical o.g. followed by a criminal backpass by Hoggie for their 2nd, we got one back in stoppage time but had a player sent off for trying to retrieve the ball from the net.
That didn’t stop us, we still had a great trip.(and a few beers)

Blaahland=Waterford
