Three lions went hunting for the critical boon,
In search of three points from the very first match
A Swedish scalp would be quite a good catch
And set the stage for the Sapporo Arena,
A grudge match versus Argentina!
But now, more than ever, for a very long time
To defeat the brave Swedes would be more than just fine!
Don’t give them a chance to sneak a late draw
Make no mistake or succumb to a flaw!
It’s the least you can do for yourselves and for me
Give us a big victory in the Golden Jubilee!
We know it’s not over till the fat lady sings
A simple mistake and the horror it brings!
At any old time, it’s never too late
A noble plan may detonate!
A gaffe at the back, yet again so uncanny
The gift of a goal, a poor blunder by Danny!
