Mis-spelt Football Team Blues

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 There’s a man who sells Rosettes
Outside White Hart Lane.
He never ever sells any
I think I will explain.
They’re home made and they look good
And lot’s of time did they did take,
He just didn’t notice till he finished
That there was a spelling mistake.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Chorus:
Come on you Srups, Come on you Srups,
Is what the Rosettes say.
It should say “Come on you Spurs”, so nobody will pay.
Come on you Srups, Come on you Srups,
Oh what a catastrophe,
Come on you Srups, Come on you Srups,
No worse could it be.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Despite of this he’s always there
Before every home game
Hoping there’ll be people who won’t notice
That he’s mis-spelt the name
Unfortunately every potential buyer
Carefully inspects a rosette
And some people say, “You spelt Spurs wrong
How ridiculous can you get?”

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Chorus:
Come on you Srups, Come on you Srups,
Unfortunately it’s the case
That the rosettes took to long to make
So they’re too hard to replace
Come on you Srups, Come on you Srups,
Every time he views
One of these rosettes he gets
The mis-spelt football team blues.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 As a huge Tottenham Hotspur fan
He really is confused
About how he didn’t notice
Until one thousand had been produced
He really wants Rid of them
So he will continue
To try and sell them on match days
Well what else can he do.
