MR ARSENAL

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 TONY ADAMS HAS GONE TO WYCOMBE TO START A NEW CAREER
LANGUISHING AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SECOND DIVISION, HIS MAIN AIM IS TO STEER
THEM UP TO SAFETY, MAYBE MID-TABLE, HIS CHAIRMAN THEN WILL CHEER.
I HOPE HE CAN, I HOPE HE IS ABLE TO KEEP THEM IN THE CLEAR
I WISH HIM WELL, I REALLY DO BUT IT’S DIFFICULT BECAUSE WE’RE
STILL MOURNING HIS LOSS, WE MISS HIM TOO, HE’S LEFT A BIG GAP HERE.
A GAP THAT’S BECOME IMPOSSIBLE TO FILL, SIMPLY BECAUSE OF THE SHEER
PRESENCE OF THE MAN AND ABILITY TO INSTIL RESPECT INTO ALL THOSE NEAR.
A MILLION MILES FROM THE MARBLE HALLS, FAR FROM OUR CAVALIER
FRENCHMEN WHO DEMOLISHED WOLVES WHILST PLAYING IN FIRST GEAR.
HIS RED AND WHITE BLOOD TAINTED BY BLUE, TO MY EYE IT BRINGS A TEAR
BUT TO ME HE’LL ALWAYS BE MR ARSENAL, TO MY HEART I HOLD HIM DEAR
AND WAIT FOR THE DAY HE WILL RETURN WHEN I’LL SMILE FROM EAR TO EAR
UNTIL THAT DAY COMES, I HAVE MY MEMORIES WHICH WILL NEVER DISSAPEAR.
