Muesli Bowl

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 It was a muesli bowl mix of a weekend :
The sweet sultana of a six nil drubbing,
The dried banana skin that had Spurs fans blubbing;
Wigan like wheaten flakes with their flakey defending,
Utd got their oats with Rooney and Tevez now befriending;
Some rye (sic) smiles as fortunate winners mock and jest,
The sunflower seeds of a Liverpool v Arsenal football fest;
The mixed nuts of kickers and receivers and linebackers (butt up) –
Adding salt to the wounds, causing our beloved Wembley to cut-up

Notes

Muesli Bowl as opposed to ‘Super Bowl’ !

Miami Dolphins lost to the NY Giants in a bone-fide NFL league match – played in rain – at “Soccer’s mecca”.
The pitch cut up badly.
Earlier in the week, Egbert Magnusson had unleashed a blogging storm by suggesting the EPL should play a ‘regular season game’ over in the US!
NO WAY JOSé

Chelsea beat Man City 6-1
Man Utd beat Boro 4-1, Tevez & rooney gelling well.
