Munich anniversary and deaths on the day

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Death came with it’s cloak
enveloping like a light-box lunching on it’s lensman

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 with each flashbulb pop
signalling another another soul to heaven

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 50 years ago – on a foul, foggy, fugged up, slushy, sleety, snowbound Munich runway
an aeroplane failed to take off – or safely abort

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 23 people died as a result
some drew their last breaths lying in the snow – attempts at revival came to nought

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 the 50th anniversary was expected
football paying it’s respects, one detects, with genuine warmth

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 but then the Grim Reaper, went deeper,
and personal

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 the carnage on the Irish roads, contributed 8
and of those that went to Heaven’s Gate, 2 were colleagues

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 but then the aperture of life closed on Auntie Mary too
and as she slips out of the picture, another family mourns
