My Da Bought Me A T Shirt

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 My Da bought be a t shirt, it’s red with a white trim
He said “be proud and wear it son and love the colours just like him”
He couldn’t wait to get it in the local football shop
Just around the corner from the famous Spion Kop

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 My Da bought me a t shirt, on one side is the liverbird
I have a few collected now but this one is well preferred
Underneath the liverbird sit 3 letters L.F.C.
A football team that we both love, steeped in history.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 My Da bought me a t shirt, the embroidery the best by far
And on one side of the short sleeve sit 6 little stars
They are there to constantly remind us of being Europe’s kings
There’s not another club like ours whose songs I’d rather sing

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 My Da bought me a t shirt, it’s nice ‘n loose, not tight
I think I’ll wear this one in May, not on a European night
Opposite the liverbird there’s two numbers 1 and 9
They represent our titles won, it sure looks mighty fine.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 My Da bought me a t shirt, I’ll wear it in my Anfield Church
“CHAMPIONS” is printed on the back, that’s right we’re back on our perch
I’ll wear it every Saturday as long as it doesn’t rain
To remind me of this season, a relentless Red campaign.
