Name = Identity

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Hull City fans don’t want to be Tigers
The Bluebirds didn’t want to be red
It got me thinking ‘what if’ Norwich City
Were known as Delia’s Donkeys instead

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 We’re famous for our Canaries
Those gutsy singing yellow birds
Since our club formed in 1902
We’ve been right good for two-thirds

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 It’s the final third where we have problems
We can’t seem to score enough goals
A defensive approach must be solid
And ‘solid’ doesn’t have holes

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Each ninety minutes can be a struggle
We endure sustained attack each half
Premiership clubs are merciless like Sylvester
But, like Tweety, we’ll have the last laugh

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Our club is in clear and present danger
So we’ll rename the Canaries ‘Albatrosses’
We can’t continue as we are
Fighting to turn wins into losses

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 We are proud of our club and our history
And of the Canary to which we are linked
Fighting hard not to be like the Dodo
Relegated, expired and extinct

Notes

Football wise, as long as we have our club and our ground it’s all good. However, financially I guess being in the Prem is a big deal. At the moment our club is debt free. If we dropped, that could change quickly.

We beat Spurs at Carrow Road last Sunday, now we wait to see if we can string two wins together. Up next – Paul Lambert’s Villa!!!!!!
