New Lawn Dawn

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 It may be that we witnessed the dawn
of a new Town team at New Lawn:
as if the Reds were re-born
despite the locals’ scorn
(all beefed up with Quorn)
and without wishing to fawn
or make anyone yawn,
I’ll trumpet, blow the horn
that we will prove to be a thorn,
make opposing fans mourn.
In the past we might have drawn
against muscular brawn;
has a new era dawned
as Town enter League One?

Notes

I’m not a big fan of friendlies, but Swindon’s performance against a decent looking FGR last night looked distinctly promising. I’m going to stick my neck out & say we might just have a good season. Back to back promotions anyone?
