Nice Footie, Shame About the Fans

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Whisper it softly, but whisper it well,
The team, I believe, are beginning to gel,
They’re giving opposing defences sheer hell,
And the goals keep on whizzing in freely.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Jason and Glenn have now blossomed and thrived,
After last season our hopes have revived,
It’s the best we have played since young Fenlon arrived
And a world of a difference from Keely.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 If only the football was always this good,
Played in a way that the fans think it should.
We’re playing such beautiful football, touch wood,
That there’s not many teams that can thwart us.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 The passing’s so slick, the attack’s so free-flowing,
The pace of our thinking shows no sign of slowing,
The quest for perfection is stong and ongoing,
But tell me – where are the supporters?

Notes

Crowds at all eL games have dipped alarmingly recently. The holiday season?
