Nicely Doesn’t Do it

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 What is this life if full of care
We have no time to stand and stare
Central defence a shaky pair
‘What if’ is rife, we’re full of fear
Home and away, clean sheets are rare
A win elusive, we don’t get near
Consistently worse, the boos we hear
At ninety minutes, we leave in tears
We’re not very good, the facts are bare
We’d like to complain, but we don’t dare
Next year could be our year
But for the shirts they make us wear

Notes

It is often said that Norwich City are “too nice”. We need to be ‘more horrible’ according to Dion Dublin. Well, could you look tough in a yellow shirt?

What we need is a new strip; purple and brown stripes with red shirts and pink socks. That would be more horrible.
