NIGHTMARE ON EDGAR STREET.

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I remember Hereford United
Nightmare on Edgar street
I remember travelling down there
No way could we get beat.
They had Ronnie Radford
Leading their attack
Who had ever heard of him?
We had SUPER MAC.
Ricky George,not Charlie George
A bunch of semi pros
The ‘Toon’ would get a bag full
Six or Seven I suppose.
I remember thinking no danger
When Radford got the ball
He evaded several tackles
Then smashed it past McFaul
Ricky George then grabbed the winner
Edgar Street went wild
Signaled a pitch invasion
Every woman, man and child
Now it is always on the tele
Nowhere for me to hide
The day that non league Hereford
Dented Geordie pride.

Notes

You are sure to get the chance to see it again on the BBC as the F.A.cup third round approaches.
