No More The Little Team Upon The Hill

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 there are Llamas in a field beside the entrance
and they’re posing for the passing crowd who stare
there’s a big red bus that’s serving drinks and nibbles
and a festival-like feeling in the air

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 you can say that we’ve no right to even be here
you can smirk and mock and there are some that will
but something’s stirring here that’s quite amazing
no more the little team upon the hill

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 we’ve seen club cars running on electric
and roof top solar panels on the stand
there are green flags flying sending out the message
and they’re reaching out to every football fan

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 you can marvel at our solar robot mower
as it navigates its way in sat nav style
it’s a futuristic vision of sustaining
and Forest Green lead by a country mile

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 there’s a tasty vegan pie and mash on offer
organic as the pitch that sets the scene
there are plumbers artists plasterers and poets
and families with children dressed in green

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 and we’re not in some great teeming football city
we have sheep and hills and meadows flanked by trees
we’re respecting our environment and planet
we’re the Rovers come and join us if you please.
